It's almost that time of year, the best time of year, football season!
It's been a long off-season and every single NFL fan is ready for the 2022 season to begin. But no matter how much everyone wants their team to win their division there can only be one. Multiple teams have made block-buster trades and signed stand-out players to large lengthy contracts to give them a chance to take the division crown.

American Football Conference (AFC)
North
Everyone would agree that this is a very competitive division. Each team has their strengths and each team has minimal weaknesses. The previous winners made it to the Super Bowl behind the CBPOY in Joe Burrow, which puts them in prime position to repeat. The mess the Browns have put themselves in QB wise and the trade the Steelers were forced to engage in since Big Ben retired steers me away from them. Don't forget about the team that was plagued with awful injuries last season and still went 8-9. With the team back to 100% health, it seems smart to stand behind a talented defense and the 2019 unanimous MVP.
Winner: Baltimore Ravens
Previous winner: Cincinnati Bengals

Two words: Johnathan Taylor. Two more words: Matt Ryan? The new and improved Colts team looks great on paper. With the Jaguars and the Texans in full rebuild mode, the departure of OC Arthur Smith and WR AJ Brown from the Titans makes it almost impossible to avoid the inevitable; Tannehill will regress in 2022 while the Colts soar to the top. Derrick Henry is a beast but he can't carry this team on his back the entire season.
Winner: Indianapolis Colts
Previous Winner: Tennessee Titans

Each team has to have their down fall eventually, and after two decades the Patriots have been dethroned. But they're hardly pushed to the bottom since the New York Jets are in rebuild mode and the Miami Dolphins are just now starting to find their groove with new receivers and a developing QB. Everyone can agree that Mac Jones was the best QB of the 2021 draft class, but they won't be getting past the generational talent in Josh Allen and the explosive offense of the Buffalo Bills.
Winner: Buffalo Bills
Previous Winner: Buffalo Bills
West
Easily the hardest division in the National Football League. Between Derek Carr, Justin Herbert, Patrick Mahomes and now the newly added Russell Wilson, this division will be a slug fest. It's hard to fathom how many weapons each of these teams have on both sides of the ball. But with the loss of Kansas City's number one receiver and the new additions to the Raiders and Broncos, the thing that stands out to me is offensive connections - something the Chargers seem to have a leg up on and most likely the reason they will prevail this season.
Winner: Los Angeles Chargers
Previous Winner: Kansas City Chiefs

As a Packers fan it is easy to say that Green Bay is going to four-peat, but each season seems to get harder to to pick the green and gold to keep the crown with all the growth inside of the division. The Minnesota trio of Cousins, Jefferson, and Cook proves to be a force to reckon with. The great new head coach hire and outstanding last few drafts of the Lions proves they are working hard to rebuild. The stout defense and developmental stages of Justin Fields will always give the Bears a shot, but either way, It's hard to pick against the team that has the back-to-back MVP and a new defense that can dominate a game from start to finish.
Winner: Green Bay Packers
Previous Winner: Green Bay Packers

New additions to Atlanta and Carolina this past off-season makes both of these teams better overall but the struggles they will have to face this upcoming season makes it unlikely they will prevail over two stronger teams. Five words that most NFL fans know and most likely say multiple times in their lifetime: Don't bet against Tom Brady. Well the Saints would beg to differ. Please bet against Tom Brady because they are the only team that knows how to beat him, over the past two seasons Brady is 0-4 vs the Saints in the regular season. Before tearing his ACL, Winston looked unstoppable and took the team to a 5-2 record.
Winner: New Orleans Saints
Previous Winner: Tampa Bay Buccaneers
East
The NFC East has been a questionable division for the last couple of years. Struggles and injuries have plagued the entire division. The Giants just can't seem to get it together and the Commanders, even though they have one of the best defensive lines, need to see if Carson Wentz can be the 2017 version of himself. Dak is easily the best quarterback in this division but the Eagles are overall the better team with the additions they made this off-season. And face it, there hasn't been a repeat champion in almost two decades, so you almost can't pick 'Dem Boys.
Winner: Philadelphia Eagles
Previous Winner: Dallas Cowboys
West
The NFC West went from the hardest division in football to a quite a bit simpler division over the past year. The Seahawks lost Russell Wilson and TE Gerald Everett. The 49ers are taking a chance by starting Trey Lance. The Cardinals lost Christian Kirk, Chandler Jones, and DeAndre Hopkins is suspended half the season. The current Super Bowl Champions seem like the best pick to repeat as division champs.
Winner: Los Angeles Rams
Previous Winner: Los Angeles Rams
